Quality Policy SOGEFI Filter Division

Our Quality System complieswith ISO TS 16949 v.2002 and it is our objective to consolidate this and carry on with its optimisation. To achieve this, the Division aims to focus on the improvement of customer satisfaction levels, through the continuous development of key products and services.  The standards and implementation of our Quality Policy in the face of market changes is an integral part of achieveing this strategic objective.

Sharing Best Practice

To effectively synthesise working practices a workshop has been deployed to ensure the use of Document Management and Operational Quality Management Software. Our goal is to set this up in all sites before the end of 2007 to ensure that an efficient Quality System is in place to provide suggested actions, data synthesis and information exchange. Meanwhile, best practises all over the group will be taken as references for the harmonisation of working methods, with the goal of enhancing each unit.

Policy Objectives

Main objectives of our Quality policy are:

  • 0 ppm for all products and all customers, with special attention placed on the lAM and Interco.
  • The promotion of team working and coordination must be handled by one identified, responsible person.
  • The systematic use of knowledge management tools in the development process, such as generic FMEA design standards and project closure.
  • The reinforcement of supplier follow-ups, during development stages.
  • The formalisation of any problems, followed by corrective communication and implementation actions.
  • The total eradication of problem recurrence, through validation of corrective actions and use of knowledge management systems.

New challenges

To achieve the highest productivity levels in the market is essential to achieve customer satisfaction.  This is vital for our continued development. This can be realised through large-scale actions in every area, notably in localising production (industrial transfers) or suppliers (LCC). The following principles should be respected in order to fully secure these actions in the shortest possible lead-time:

  • Adapt (if needed) and strictly apply procedures.
  • Schedule and anticipate all actions.
  • Communicate clearly and early with our customers and suppliers.

Meanwhile, we must stay vigilant to ensure that the changes in our working environment do not on any account lead to concessions on the level of Quality for our Product and Services.

Basis of excellence

A lack of experience in these new challenges is a danger that could threaten to disrupt the implementation of our quality system and principles. To combat this, we need to continuously rethink our processes to always have a current and relevant operational system: write what we do, do what is written.

Each SOGEFI plant will apply this policy and establish operational targets, respecting specific supplementary targets. Each SOGEFI plant will implement its plan for excellence in order to improve its performances in each target area.

The involvement of every individual is needed to succeed. You can rely on my full commitment.
